Buenos Aires Tango Scene Shenanigans
Coincedence watch 2008:
I ran into a group of cool greek kids at Tango Brujo, quite possibly my favorite shop in Buenos Aires. It’s like Hogwarts in Harry Potter (Brujo means witch, incidentally). We walked around, looking for crazy ice cream. I eventually got scoops of kinotos al whisky, marscapone, and strudel. Here are some pics:

After, I ran into my current favorite dancer in Buenos Aires, Anita, in Zivals, likely the best place to find tango books and music.

After chilling out at home, I attempted to go to a milonga with a lot of awesome food, called La Social. Unfortunately it’s closed down for a few months till they get permits, since the neighbors complained. Instead I hit up La Catedral, which is a few blocks from my place. Fortunately, they replaced large swaths of the floor, and it was actually danceable.

Ok, I’m off to Palermo to freshen up my wardrobe, Ciao!
